Duane's Bus Drawings
Welcome
Welcome to my new drawings gallery.
All comments are welcome and i must express thanks to Adrian Cains and Ian Smith - many of there drawings have been the basis of my own work - some obvious and others so re-drawn that the origional just aint there no more!

I do appologise for having to disable the save setting - but it has come to my attention that at least one person has saved my drawings then added them to his/her own fotopic site {along with many other foto's that are not theirs}, this i find objectionable.

0890_Boat_606_in_1994_condition_PNG.jpg   606 went to Glasgow for the garden festival. It carried sponser advertising on this blue and yellow scheme. On return to Blackpool she was used in these colours, seen here in 1994 condition, she went to the states a while later as a replacement for Standard 159.  Blackpool's buses and trams  (3)
0912_OMO_No5_in_1991_condition_png.jpg   By 1991 the remainung cars of this class had adopted this livery variation. By the time of theyre final withdrawl, most cars had reached over 1,000,000 miles service since conversion to OMO!!  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
0928_NRN603_Leyland_Atlantean_PDR1_png.jpg   Adrian updated his MCW PDR1 drawing to a far superior one than previous - so naturally I had to update my Gay Hostess drawing - the old one is still on here too!  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
0883_Balloon_719_Walls_Advert_PNG.jpg   719 was in this condition for many years for Wall's Ice Cream, with extra added illumintaed boxes etc, a reduced seating capacity inside the lower saloon at one end also, this being the result of originally having an onboard ice cream parlour!!  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
0878_Marton_Vambac_11_in_2008_condition_PNG.jpg   No11 is the only surviving member of the 'Marton Vambac' class of cars. This is her 2008 condition at the East Anglia Transport museum based in Carlton Colville near Lowestoft, East Anglia.  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
0877_Marton_Vambac_21_in_1959_condition_PNG.jpg   By 1959 the Marton Vambacs, like the rest of the fleet, were all in a more restrained livery style. This is No21. A few years later they would all be withdrawn.  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
10 0876_Marton_Vambac_15_in_1956_condition_PNG.jpg   After WW2 the entire Sun Saloon class went into the works. They were completely refurbished with new upholsterred seats and new running equipment based on technology then being used in the USA on the famous PCC type trams. They were allocated to Marton depot and used exclusively on the Marton line, re-named 'Marton Vambacs', this is No15 in 1956 condition.  Blackpool's buses and trams  (2)
